Burton Cliff Cottages

This project came to me via an associate company I work alongside with planning permission already granted.  My role was to obtain Building Regulations approval and manage the build through to completion.  I produced a series of detailed construction drawings engaging my regular structural engineer to assist with some of the structural design.  Working with the client I wrote a detailed specification for each property, provided a budget costing for feasibility and put the project out to tender.

The contract ran for 18 months during which I provided ongoing contract management, monitoring the budget, valuations and negotiations between all stakeholders and contributors.  It was a difficult time post covid and at the beginning of the Ukraine war as markets were volatile and supply prices were constantly increasing.  It was critical to keep good communication throughout the build and navigate some tricky moments due to the climate but the project was a great success and produced some excellently built houses in a very nice location.
